Encourage grandparents and other caregivers to participate in activities with your baby.

WHY IT MATTERS

The idea is to help babies learn to control their muscles with graceful postures.

Reflexes have survival value that connects parents or caregivers to their baby, so that they respond to the baby’s needs for safety and security.

The critical period for attachment development is from birth to 7 months, where the infant-parent bond is best facilitated by close contact with the primary parent and by lots of eye contact.

These types of sensory inputs ensure a normal development of posture, bilateral coordination and optimal arousal states, which helps in the development of fine motor skills.
